Announcement of the Second Round of Presidential Elections
The second round of presidential elections will be held in Serbia on Sunday, October 13, since none of 11 candidates had managed to win at least 50 percent plus 1 vote of the total number of citizens who turned out at the polling stations.
The Republican Electoral Commission announced that two candidates would compete in the second round of the elections - Vojislav Kostunica and Miroljub Labus. These
candidates won the greatest number of citizens` votes in the first round.
The voters registers comprise 6, 555,504 citizens holding the right to vote.
A total of 8,634 polling stations will be open for the second round of presidential
elections in Serbia, and 288 polling stations in Kosovo.
The polling stations will open at 07:00 and close at 20:00.
CeSID will have more than 15,000 monitors accredited for the second round. |
