Early parliamentary elections in Montenegro 2002

CeSID – Announcement of Elections

Early parliamentary elections will be held in Montenegro on Sunday, October 20. Early local elections will simultaneously be held in Podgorica and Tivat.

The Republican Electoral Commission of Montenegro (RIK CG) announced that seven coalitions and three parties would participate in these elections.

The Parliament of Montenegro has 75 seats.

A total of 1,096 polling stations in Montenegro will open on Sunday, October 20.

The polling stations will be open between 08:00 and 21:00 hours.

A total number of citizens holding the voting right in Montenegro is 454,437. The greatest number of voters is registered in Podgorica – 114,528, while the least number is registered in Savnik – 2,401.

Besides the monitors accredited by CeSID and CEMI, the monitors from foreign countries as well as the monitors accredited by political parties will also monitor these elections.
